Talented Vocalist Yallunder Passes at 30

Super talented AfroPop & Amapiano vocalist Yallunder passes at the tender age of 30. After suffering from illness, her management says.

In a press statement posted on instagram and various other platforms, Yolanda Nyembezi p/ka Yallunder passed at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg after fighting illness for three (3) month.

Born in the Eastern Cape, the vocalist, singer/songwriter really shone on the amapiano scene working with the likes of Kelvin Momo, Kabza Da Small and more.

Her bio read as follows on Spotify:

“The classically trained, cum laude vocal pedagogy graduate and soulful vocalists was born and raised in Bizana, a small village in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Yolanda Nyembezi better known as Yallunder is known for her soulful voice that she made extensive use of creating covers that got her the attention of prominent names such as Black Coffee and Sjava in 2018.

S’java took Yallunder’s career a step further when he signed her to his record label 1020 Cartel where her career as a recording artist kicked off with the stable album titled iSambulo in the year 2020 with her song Ndinovalo and the collaborative songs Inhliziyo and Abanjani.

The artist on the same year released her first project titled Uthando Lwam which was engineered by Ruff. Since then, she has carried her voice to the dance genre working with DJs and producers such as Lemon & Herb, Kabza De Small , OSKIDO, MÖRDA and Heavy-K to mention a few.”
