New Music: Mabheshingo by Babes Wodumo

The queen of Gqom has released a banging 10 song album with hard hitting sounds in Mabheshingo. From the traditional KZN gqom sound to the minimalistic but catchy repetitive lyrics, this is gqom at its finest. Made to get the dance floors going throughout the festive season, Babes Wodumo has done one for the lovers of Gqom. The project also has the traditional sounds of Maskhandi with the song Ngakuthanda Kakhulu alongside Ushuni Wasemzini.

Mabheshingo is feature rich with relevant artists, new and old with the likes of Mawhoo and Lelowhatsgood with surprise features that include Pretoria’s Jelly Babie on Tupperware. Artists such as Madanon are heavily present on the project and late husband, Mampintsha, graces the project as previously written in a previous article on Kulture Guru.
